3 Fort Myers Jetski Rental Locations

I woke up this morning thinking about Fort Myers.  I woke up, wishing I was cruising along the clear ocean water between Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach.  By cruising, I mean ripping it up on a Jetski!  Is this something you’ve always wanted to do?  If so, here are 3 Fort Myers Jetski Rental Locations for you to take that plunge and mark it off your Fort Myers Bucket List!

Island Water Sports:  Island Water Sports has Jetski’s for rent in Fort Myers.  They are located at 61 Avenue C, in Fort Myers Beach.  They offer Jetski Rentals and Waverunner Rentals.  They use Yamaha Waverunners which will carry up to 3 people.  They’ll even take you out in a group on their Dolphin Tour, via waverunner, so you can get up close and personal with the dolphins.  Talk about an awesome Jetski experience!  Their tripadvisor ratings for waverunner rentals are good as well.  71 reviews (as of the time I write this) and a total of 4.5 stars!….That’s Favorite Sun Approved

Holiday Water Sports: Holiday Water Sports has 3 locations, all in Fort Myers Beach.  They offer the ability to purchase advanced tickets online, which is nice, as well as the ability to take the safe boating course online, which may be a requirement (see below).  They have a great blog on the Things you need to know before renting a waverunner on Fort Myers Beach.  I highly recommend reading this article.

Licenses and Laws: There are license laws associated with operating a small watercraft in Florida.  Many of these website have information about this.  I would recommend doing the online class before you get to Florida, this will save you the time on your vacation!

One rule for example is: Anyone born after Jan. 1, 1988 must also have a NASBLA approved Safe Boating License in order to drive a WaveRunner.

I also saw this: You need a license unless The person between the ages of 16 and 23 is accompanied by a person over 23 or The person between the ages of 16 and 23 is accompanied by a person with a NASBLA Boating License

Temporary licenses are generally available at all locations.   Please call the location ahead of time to confirm that you can get this temporary license.  You should allow at least one hour to obtain a license.

Bottom Line with these 3 Fort Myers Jetski Rental Locations

Go For It!  Knock the Jetski/Waverunner off your bucket list, but be prepared, take the class, book your rental online if you can (or at least reserve it), then have a great time!  Don’t forget to bring your gopro or waterproof camera to take video!  We’d love to see your photos and videos.  You can share them with us on our Facebook page, or message us there!
