Flyboarding- The last time I was at The Favorite Sun Matt an I took our daughter and her friend flyboarding. They had a blast! If you are looking for an adventure, this is it. Your feet are strapped to a board and water shoots out the bottom to make you “fly”! The instructor will show you exactly how to do it. He will also show you how to do dolphin dives. Both girls rated the experience a 10. I highly recommend FMB Flyboard. They were great.
Exploring the beaches – There are so many beaches in the Fort Myers area to explore. Pack a lunch, a towel and some sun screen and you are ready to go. I have seen dolphins, a bald eagle, collect beautiful shells and met a lot of nice people just taking a stroll on the beach. It really is a great way to enjoy the day. Click here for a list of beaches.
Take a bike ride – There are plenty of places on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island to rent bikes. On Sanibel Island there are bike paths along the road that you can take all over the island, 24.8 miles to be exact. It’s a great way to get some exercise and you won’t have to worry about finding a parking spot at the beach. Billy’s Bike Rentals is a well known place to rent bikes on Sanibel Island. If you are with your family they have children size bikes available for rent as well as stock tandem bikes.
Boating – Let’s face it, there is nothing better then spending the day on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. There are quite a few boat rental companies in the area to chose from. Most companies have several options of rentals as well. Kayaking, paddle boarding or a fun day on a pontoon boat, it all depends on what you are looking for. Some places even have fishing gear to rent. Check out Groupon for deals on boat rentals in the area.
