Parasailing Fort Myers
Matt, Anna an I traveled to The Favorite Sun in July this year. We always like to try something new while on vacation and all three of us agreed that a parasailing would be perfect. Anna an I have never gone parasailing before and Matt has never been parasailing Fort Myers.
First thing I did was google parasailing Fort Myers. There are a lot of companies to choose from, so off to Yelp I went, and picked the business that had great reviews. We picked a company call Ranalli Parasailing. We called ahead for reservations, which is recommended. We got there about 15 minutes early to sign waivers and pay for our trip. There were three different options to choose from, a 300 ft sail, a 900 ft sail and a 1200 ft sail. The 1200 ft sail comes with a free fall. Naturally, Anna wanted to do the highest one.
Here’s a little history about myself, I hate all rides or anything that resembles one. Parasailing definitely resembles a ride! Although, I am a big chicken I was not going to miss the opportunity to go parasailing Fort Myers.
The first thing we had to do was wade out to the boat. It was a little deep getting out to the boat. The kids that were parasailing Fort Myers had to swim a little to get to the boat. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous when it was Anna and my turn. They strapped us in and off we went. I thought it was going to be a fast take off, but that was not the case. It was more like a floating take off. Not scary at all. We went all the way up to 1200 feet. It was beautiful. The best way to see Fort Myers Beach is from a birds eye view. It was so peaceful. We saw a sting ray swimming below us. A couple that went after us saw a turtle and a hammer head shark. When it was free fall time the boat slowed down and we gently floated down into the water, just enough to get our feet wet.
Again, not scary at all. After the free fall it was time to come in. It was Matt’s turn next. Matt had gone parasailing before, but never parasailing Fort Myers. He had a great time as well. All of us would highly recommend Ranalli Parasailing. The crew and beach staff were great. I can cross that off my bucket list.
If you have ever gone parasailing Fort Myers, tell us about your experience and the company you went with. We would love to hear about your adventure.
